ISTVAN CSATA: THE COVIDS
This project will be broadcast on Friday 10 June, 1600NZST
The COVIDS project includes 12 artworks that reflect directly or metaphorically on the pandemic which unfolded in 2020. These images correspond to 12 sound explorations which amplify and create a dialogue with the drawings.
Some poetry included in the soundtracks blend the languages of English and Hungarian (Istvan’s mother tongue), recalling for listeners that time and place where uncertainty and confusion were the daily norm.
