New shows broadcasting at 7pm on second Wednesday of each month.
There Not Here is a monthly broadcast of field recordings on AFM. Each edition is organised around a theme chosen by Tash van Schaardenburg, Jimmy Solórzano, Sam Longmore and Xin Cheng, artists working with and in relation to field recording in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa. In response, each artist produces a selection of recordings over the course of a month. These sonic excerpts of place are collated and broadcast on AFM from 6pm on the second Wednesday of each month, before being archived on the AFMixcloud page.
For A ROOM THAT ECHOES, a selection of these recordings were installed in the Audio Foundation entranceway and stairwell, diffusing via an array of portable speakers.
